blood and sweat, a potent mixture. ryujin's senses flared. her weekly almost ritualistic fight training had taken on more violent meaning the past few weeks. blood from the gash on her arm was quietly dripping down her hand and onto the cold stone floor beneath. the program had run it's course and was now simply idling in the last environment run. the program would usually cut the edge of her aggression for at least a week until she would run it again, but it had started losing it's touch. the past few months she had learned to disengage the safety mechanism and fight with her very life on the line. but to her dismay what had become like a ritualistic blood letting, it only left her thirsty for more.
she slowly collapsed onto the cold stone floor and stretched out. it had been nearly six months since the start of her relationship with jueta. in that time she had gone from a traditional klingon exercise to a sadistic bout against death just to keep herself in line. if jueta had been zythrian, or even klingon, her aggression would be sated in the bedchamber. but jueta was a half vulcan, and that cold vulcan logic laked the fire to sate her desire.
ryujin cursed under her breath. for so long she would find a lover, use them until she grew bored, and move on. for once she had hoped that things would be different, that things could last, but her heart grew restless.
after a moment longer she sat up and wrapped her arm to prevent her from getting blood everywhere.
"computer, arch," was all she said leaving the ancient temple behind her and stepping into the sleek corridor of the 24th century ship she called home.
she was a deck above sickbay and had to get there without bumping in to anyone. the jefferies tube access in the hall was just what she needed. a short climb later she emerged from the jefferies tube through the sickbay access, startling quiet a few people.
keeping her wound hidden she headed toward the chief medical officers office, she had learned discretion when she needed to get to a dermal regenerater without anyone asking any anoying questions, like "why is there a gapping wound on your arm?" or "what do you mean can this be off the records?"
the office was empty and she slipped in, claiming to be checking something for security that had been bugging her.
with her hands on the dermal regenerater it was only a moment before the gash disappeared for good. after that she used the jefferies tube access in the office to slip out unnoticed.
she was covered in a mix of sweat and blood. she new she couldn't go back to jueta's quarters without having to answer a lot of questions. this left only one option, she would again climb through the ship and sneak into the shower in jueta and her quarters undetected.
the climb only took a few minutes and before long she had slipped into the bathroom and locked the door, she quickly stripped shoving her cloths into the disposal ridding herself of the bloody mess that was her clothing, all that was left was cleaning herself.
the sound of the shower was the first real sign that she was in the bathroom, she worried jueta might find her, but she worried more jueta might find her a bloody mess.
after her shower she slipped out of the bathroom and made a dive for her uniform, hoping jueta as no where around.

Jueta sighed, Poor Ryujin, Not only could she hear the shower but also the malfunctioning resequancer that was commonly known as the disposal. truth was Ryujin was in distress, it saddened Jueta to know that as vibrant a relationship as they had, that Ryujin was requiring more.

it was also disheartening to have found the dangerous outlet which Ryujin had choosen.Iit was all accidental. Since the discovery of the Larvae speading in the ships computer systems, Jueta had been recieving myriad of complaints and diagnostics. A number of these automatically generated by the crews activities.

It had been such a report six days before that had given Jueta the information for her to fill in her own senses. She had choosen to leave, Ryujin was an adult and would bring up the subject at her own time.

Jueta sat silent as stone as she listened to Ryujin fumble for clothes. seated in the single sofa next to Rujun's rock structure Ryujin would not miss her when she entered from the bedroom.

Pariah and Diane were walking around talking like they had known each other for a very long time. The only question that Pariah seemed to dodge was the one about any past marriages. He could not cross that line again. He wouldn't. "Diane, that is just one area of my life that I cannot talk about. It's too violent. Too horrible. It's not that I don't want to open up, it is just too difficult." They both stopped in hall outside of the promenade area. She took his hands at waist level, looked Pariah in the eyes, and with a very understanding, and comforting tone, "Well Mr. Bowie. You know that you can talk to me about when you are ready. A life frought with tragedy is not easy to deal with. Buit I will be here for you." Pariah smiled, and looked into her eyes, and that was all she needed. She hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Well Ms. Brown. Shall we have diner together tonite?" She looks at him with a bashful grin, "Lt., are you asking me on a date?" Pariah kinda smiled, "If the answer you are looking for is yes, then. Yes."
She was so enthralled with his repsonse that she jumped and with a high pitch shreel, "Yea." Pariah laughed, "Calm down. I will meet you here in the promenade at 1800. I need to shower and get into something a little less formal." Diane, so excited, "Alrighty. See you then sweety."

"Well," Khelana said, as she made to stand up, "my shift starts in about ten minutes."
"Alright," Torok nodded, smiling, something he was doing much more since coming to Rivendell, "I will see you for dinner tonight?"
"Sure," Khelana returned the smile, and kissed Torok gently on the cheek before walking away towards the turbolift. Torok watched her as she left, enjoying how her slender body was shown off by the newly re-designed Starfleet uniform. As she disappeared from view, Torok lay down on the soft ground, surrounded by long, blue/green grass like plants. He felt like they were wrapping around him like many, small protective arms. Without really noticing, he drifted off to sleep.

The station was in chaos. Aliens from a myriad different species were running in every direction, the space outside seemed somehow damaged, but he couldn't quite make it out. Two Chozo were talking quickly to each other.
"We cannot stop it", one of them said, "all the Shards show it."
"Then there is no doubt," the other replied, "it flows again."
"All these centuries, after all this time."
"Yes I know, it is no coincidence."
"But what can we do...?"
The scene shifted, and Torok saw himself among the crew of the
Calisto. They were all standing on a starship bridge, a Luna-class, Torok thought. he could not see what they were all looking at, but their faces all showed a mixture of pure amazement and fear.
The scene shifted again and Torok once again saw himself, looking slightly older -maybe twenty years or so- on the bridge of an unfamilliar and very modern looking, but obviously Federation starship. He heard a voice and it took him a few seconds to realise it was his own.
"This is Captain Torok of the Federaton Starship
Lillet du Lac," his future self said, "please identify yourself."
"The River will flow again."
The voice resounded through his mind, and through all the times and places he'd seen. He saw visions of the ancient Rivendell, engulfed by a strange orange light, the strange future ship the Lillet du Lac under attack by unknown foes, and the crew of the Callisto as he knew them now, gazing out at something spectacular and possibly terrible, but somehow obscured from view. All these times and places juxtaposed together. What could it all mean?

| Day #9

Marcus slowly awoke he was kind of hurting and sore. Not knowing why honestly. Kind of feeling under the weather and restless. Tossing and turning sleep had probably caused him to sleep harshly. He looked over and noticed Fenna sleeping and he smiled as he got up and stretched a bit. It was deep dark in the forest and the fire he had stoked earlier had almost diminished. He poked at it a bit as the fire roared back to life and he put a couple logs on it. Reaching into his sack he pulled out some black tea and placed a pot over the edge of the fire and began boiling some water. He stared into the canopy of the forest and stared through the gaps of the trees at the stars. Strangely enough he felt very comfortable around Fenna and he seemed at ease. She was a great person and someone who rivaled him in medical knowledge. It was a pleasant surprise finding out she replaced her sister.

His mind wandered back to the Callisto. Captain Aelyn was a worthy Captain to inherit the Callisto, But Dan's departure had bothered him a bit. He knew Dan needed to get himself and his wife off the ship. A starship isn't exactly the best place to raise a family.

Stopping himself short as he repeats the word family in a whisper. He reaches out and grabs the water pot and pours some hot water into a cup mixing the tea. Setting the pot down on a warm stone he slowly brings the tea to his lips and sips it slowly. Observing the forest he then stands up and grabs a blanket as a chill wind blows through the forest. This kind of worried him knowing that weather changes here can be sudden. He spreads the blanket and covers Fenna with it. Making sure she is thoroughly covered he watches the forest as he notices the animals he hadn't seen previously. They seem to be more comfortable with them being here. Kind of a soothing feeling if he said so himself.

Marcus sat down on a nearby log and suddenly a loud squealing sound is made. He jumps up tripping over the log spilling the tea everywhere as a little furry creature is looking straight at him land hard in an awkward angle on his right shoulder. Marcus looks over at the creature and shoos it away, but the creature lashes out with a little tail that cuts like a bull whip across bare skin and it then runs away. "Son of a ...." He grabs a rag out of his pocket and dabs at it and then reaches over and wraps his hand in a bandage and puts a glove on over it quickly. Fenna begins to stir as he looks over at her sit up slightly.

"What was that?" Fenna said blinking the sleep out of her eyes. Marcus smirks and points a thumb over his shoulder. "Local life got spooked and i decided i like to trip and fly around the place like a spooked loon." He chuckles lightly as Fenna narrows her eyes at him. He waves her back trying to reassure her. "That is all i swear." Fenna sits up fully as she simply eyes him and then notices the blanket and then the fire newly stoked. Feeling the new cold in the air she looked around.

Fenna looked at the laceration the indigenous life form had left behind on the skin of Marcus. From a distansce it didn't look that bad in her opinion but she had the experience from the field that even the smallest of wounds could turn very ugly in situations like this if they were not tended properly. With some difficulties due to sore muscles in her legs and thighs, she got up. "Let me have a look at that..." she said, sitting down next to Marcus. She picked up his feelings and all she could feel right now was an awkward feeling of unease which made her feel similarly uneasy but she tried hard to hide it from him.

"That's nothing..." Marcus chuckled trying to take away Fenna's attention from treating the wound on his torso. "I'll be the judge of that, Captain..." Fenna said, looking in his eyes sternly. "I have had seven years of medical training and I think I know what I am doing..." She said. Unfortunately his uniform shirt was in the way to allow her to inspect the wound. Normally that wouldn't be a problem as she would have taken out her medical tricorder but she didn't carry it with her in her utility belt and she was unwilling to walk all the way to her tent to fetch it. "Take off your shirt..." She said, somewhat surprised that she actually dared to ask that from him. It made her feel rather excited if she had to be honest. Suddenly Fenna felt that Doug's feelings of unease spiked just after she said that.

"What are you afraid of?" Fenna said provocatively. "It's not that I have never seen a torso..." She smiled at thim. Doug gave her a reluctant look but finally he agreed to comply. He took off his shirt, showing this bulky but densly trained torso. In instant Fenna could feel a rush surging through her body and she had tremendous difficulties trying to push that feeling away, then she started to wonder if she wanted to push that particular feeling away in the first place. Of course she could name at least 5 reasons why it was a bad idea to act on her impulses, but on the other hand...

Fenna got closer, placing her finger tips on his broad shoulder, rubbing and inspecting the skin around the laceration carefully. At first she started rather subtle and somewhat insecure but as the seconds passed and as their skins started to get familiar with the touch, the contact between them became that of another level. For a couple of seconds or so, it seemed that the two had lost each other in the moment but suddenly they focussed their minds back on the here and now. "So... Doctor, what is your diagnosis... Am I going to die?" Doug asked, turned around to face Fenna who was seated behind him.

"Hardly,...." She said, her eyes firmly fixed on his. "In fact... I think that you are very much alive..."

TAG :) This is going to get fun
